Further context on the 32nd Sutra from Patanjali’s Yogasutras
How do you cure a scattered mind? You do not fight the scattering directly; you starve it by focusing on ONE thing. The scattered mind needs to be conditioned to take only one form instead of layers of many. I have personally observed the lens through which I see myself, or the layers of conditioning with which our mind is coloured. The verse tells us to bring coherence in our thinking so that the mind, body and intellect are one.
This is one way of practicing Yogah. There are many other ways to experience/reach the same yogah depending on one’s proclivities. The above verse is a general advice for the practice. How do we go about? What is the way in which it can be actualised? That we see in the upcoming verses.
